我国的环卫事业起步较晚，城市生活垃圾镉的监测方法在国内是个空白，普通借鉴土壤的监测方法，但土壤和城市生活垃圾的组成和特性不同，为使城市生活垃圾镉的测定方法规则化、标准化，特制定本标准。本标准是参照GB 15618-1995土壤环境质量标准中镉的测定方法制定的。本标准规定了用原子吸收分光光度法测定镉含量的原理、仪器试剂和操作步骤。本标准适用于城市生活垃圾中镉的测定。
