本标准规定了金属基体上工程用铜电镀层的有关技术要求。本标准适用于工程用途的铜电镀层，例如在热处理零件表面起阻挡层作用的铜电镀层；拉拔丝加工过程中要求起减磨作用的铜电镀层；作锡镀层的底层防止基体金属扩散的铜电镀层等。本标准不适用于装饰性用途的铜电镀层和铜底层及电铸用铜镀层。
