1 Scope This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of food additive - monascus color. This standard is applicable to monascus color pigment which is made in liquid medium with rice and soybean as major raw materials, through fermentation cultivation, extraction, concentration and refinement by Monascus anka Nakazawa et Sato bacterium solution or with red yeast rice (Food Additive - Red Kojic Rice (GB 4926)) as raw material.
