本部分适用于各种类型的内装式杂类灯座(用于装有附录A所列各种灯头的普通照明光源、投影灯、泛光灯及街道照明灯)，还适于用作检验灯在灯座中使用安全性的试验方法。本部分还适用于与灯具成为一体的整体灯座，但只涉及灯座的要求。本部分也适用于一个与螺口灯座类似的圆顶和外壳结为一体的灯座。这类灯座还应按照GB 17935―1999的8．4，8．5，8．6，9．3，10．7，11，12．2，12．5，12．6，12．7，13，15．3，15．4，15．5和15．9要求进一步进行试验。带有灯罩紧固环用的筒形螺纹灯座，应符合IEC 60399的要求。对管形荧光灯灯座、螺口灯座和卡口灯座的要求有单独标准。
