本标准规定了铁合金单位产品能源消耗（以下简称能耗）限额的术语和定义、技术要求、统计范围、计算方法。
本标准适用于铁合金矿热炉生产的硅铁、电炉高碳锰铁（仅限于采用无熔剂法或少熔剂法冶炼工艺生产的高碳锰铁）、锰硅合金、高碳铬铁及铁合金高炉生产的高炉锰铁等5个品种的单位产品能耗的计算、考核，以及新建、改扩建项目的能耗控制。
