1 Scope This standard specifies technical requirements, calculation of energy consumption per unit time of displays, calculation of energy efficiency, Measurement methods and inspection rules of computer monitors (hereinafter referred to as "displays") for general purpose. This standard is applicable to liquid crystal displays for computers, as well as to display equipment with major function of computer monitor and having tuner/receiver. Note: Power switch including soft switch and hard switch. 3.2 Sleep mode The display not displays image in the mode of not turn off. This state may be entered into by customer option, or may be automatic entered into after no signal input for a period of time.
