This standard specifies the discharge limit of water pollutants for chemical synthesis products category pharmaceutical enterprise or production facilities. This standard is applicable to the discharge management of water pollutants for existing chemical synthesis products category pharmaceutical enterprise or production facilities. This standard is applicable to environmental impact assessment, environmental protection facility design, environmental protection acceptance during completion of construction project for chemical synthesis products category pharmaceutical industry as well as the prevention, treatment and management of water pollution after the construction project is put into production. This standard is also applicable to pharmaceutical intermediate factory (such as fine chemical factory) which is exclusively for production of pharmaceuticals. Prevention, treatment and management of water pollution for veterinary medicine manufacturer with similar structure as chemical synthesis products category medicine is also applicable to this standard. This standard is applicable to the water pollutants discharge behavior allowed by the laws. The site selection of the pollution source set newly and the management of the current pollution source in the special protected zone shall be executed according to the relevant regulations in such laws and regulations and rules as "Law on Prevention of Air Pollution of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution", "Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention of Environmental Pollution Caused by Solid Waste", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution", "Law of Environmental Impact Assessment of the People's Republic of China". The discharge control requirements for water pollutants specified in this standard are applicable to discharge behavior of enterprises to environmental water. If the enterprise discharges waste water to the municipal drainage system set up with sewage treatment plant, total cadmium, mercury alkyl, hexavalent chrome, total arsenic, total lead, total nickel and total mercury in toxic pollutants shall execute corresponding discharge limit at the monitoring position specified in this standard; discharge control requirements of other pollutants shall be determined by enterprise and municipal sewage treatment plant in accordance with the sewage treatment capacity or execute relevant standards, and shall be reported to local environmental protection authorities for record; the municipal sewage treatment plant shall guarantee the discharge pollutants to reach the relevant discharge standard requirements. If the construction project is intended to discharge waste water to the municipal drainage system set up with sewage treatment plant, the construction organization and municipal sewage treatment plant shall execute according to above-mentioned requirements.
