Hand protection — Protective gloves against thermal risks
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, marking and information to be provided by the manufacturer for protective gloves against thermal risks (hereinafter referred to as "gloves"), and describes test methods.
This document applies to gloves that protect against one or more forms of thermal hazards including flames, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, small splashes of molten metal or large splashes of molten metal.
This document does not apply to gloves for firefighting and welding operations.
Note: The tests in this document provide performance levels rather than protection levels.
