1 Scope
This document specifies the types, general technical requirements, marking and information of protective gloves, and describes the corresponding test methods corresponding to the general technical requirements.
This document is applicable to protection equipment that protects the hands or even the arms, or protective gloves that are part of the overall protection equipment.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
hand
part at the end of the arm beyond the wrist
Note: It also includes the palm and fingers.
3.2
glove
protection equipment used to protect a hand or part of it from injury
Note: It may also be extended in length to cover the forearm or the entire arm.

ease of the fingers grasping objects while wearing the gloves

potential personal injury or health threats
4 Types of protective gloves
Protective gloves are classified into types based on their protective functions or application scenarios. Typical types of protective gloves are as follows:
—protective gloves against mechanical risks;
—protective gloves against chemicals and microorganisms;
—protective gloves against thermal hazards;
—protective gloves against cold;
—electrical insulating gloves;
—anti-electrostatic gloves;
—protective gloves against ionizing radiation and radioactive contamination;
—protective gloves against ozone and oxidizing chemicals;
—protective gloves against cuts and punctures from hand-held knives;
—protective gloves against hand-held chain saws; vibration-damping gloves;
—protective gloves for general professional use;

1 Scope
