1 Scope This standard specifies the classification, signs, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, package and storage of marine lifejacket (hereinafter referred to as lifejacket). This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of adult lifejacket used for boat and offshore facilities. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. If the mouth is not in the same horizontal line, it refers to the distance by measuring to the undermost of mouth (See Figure 1). 3.2 Faceplace angle It refers to the angle between the plane of forehead and the forefront of chin and the horizontal plane (See Figure 1). 3.3 Torso angle It refers to the angle between the straight line of shoulder and the forefront of hipbone and the vertical line (See Figure 1). 3.4 List angle It refers to the angle between the straight line of right & left shoulders and the horizontal plane, or the angle between the straight line through both ears when the head tilts and the horizontal plane.
