Note: Precipitation environments include rain, snow, fog, and other conditions. 3.2 Water vapor resistance (Ret) The difference in water vapor pressure between two surfaces of a protective clothing material divided by the synthetic heat flux per unit area in the gradient direction. Note 1: A physical quantity used to characterize the properties of textile or composite materials, determining the resistance to water vapor evaporation from the human body to the external environment through the material. The heat flux may consist of diffusion and convection components. Note 2: Unit: m²·Pa/W. [Source: ISO 11610:2023, 4.6.10, modified] 3.3 Resistance to water penetration (WP) The static resistance of protective clothing materials to water penetration. The total wetted area of the indicator clothing shall be ≤50 cm², with the total wetted area of the chest and abdomen ≤20 cm². 4.7 Visibility If reflective materials are used, they shall comply with the requirements of 6.1 in GB 20653-2020; if composite performance materials are used, they shall comply with the requirements of 6.1 in GB 20653-2020; if fluorescent materials are used, they shall comply with the requirements of Table 2 in GB 20653-2020. 4.8 Tensile strength of woven fabrics When tested according to the method specified in 5.4, the tensile strength of woven fabrics shall be ≥450 N. This requirement does not apply if the fabric's elongation at break is >50%. 4.9 Tearing strength of woven fabrics The tearing strength of woven fabrics in both warp and weft directions shall be ≥20 N. This requirement does not apply if the fabric's elongation at break is >50%. 4.10 Bursting strength of knitted fabrics Knitted fabrics, non-woven or composite fabrics with elongation at break >50% shall withstand a minimum bursting pressure of ≥100 kPa on an area of 50 cm². 4.11 Seam technical requirements 4.11.1 The stitching lines of protective clothing at all parts shall be straight, neat, flat, and firm. For products using adhesive strips, the strip width shall be ≥2 cm, firmly bonded, with a glue width of 0.1-0.4 cm and overlapping width ≥1 cm. For products using seam bonding, the overlapping width shall be ≥1 cm, with a glue width of 0.1-0.4 cm. 4.11.2 The tensile strength of straight seams in fabrics shall be ≥200 N. This requirement does not apply if the fabric's elongation at break exceeds 50%. 4.12 Size specifications The size of protective clothing shall be set according to GB 20097.
