1. General Provision
1.0.1 This code is established with purposes of guaranteeing installation quality of low-voltage apparatus, promoting technical improvement of construction and installation as well as ensuring safe operation of equipment after installation.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to general low-voltage apparatus whose AV nominal voltage is 1200V and below under 50Hz and DC nominal voltage is 1500V and below and that are installed and debugged under normal operation. But this code is inapplicable to installation and acceptance of non-fixed household appliances, protective electric appliance of power system, electrical instruments and meters, transducer, computer system and self-contained board, cabinet and box.
1.0.3 Installation of low-voltage apparatus shall comply with design provisions approved.
1.0.4 Transportation and storage of low-voltage apparatus shall comply with relevant provisions of applicable national standards; if necessary, special requirements of technical documents of product shall also be satisfied.
1.0.5 Storable life of low-voltage equipments and instruments before installation shall be one year or below; if equipments are stored longer than the storable life, special provisions of storage of equipment and instrument shall be complied with.
1.0.6 Equipment and instrument adopted shall comply with relevant provisions of applicable national technical standards, and shall have qualification certificate and nameplate.
1.0.7 After arrival of equipment and instrument at the construction site, the following examinations and acceptances shall be made:
1.0.7.1 Package and seal shall be in good condition;
1.0.7.2 Technical documents shall be complete and packing list shall be available.
1.0.7.3 Type and specification shall meet design requirements; components and spare parts shall be complete.
