1 Scope This part of GB/T 10267 specifies the determination methods of iron, nickel, copper, manganese and magnesium in calcium metal. It is applicable to the determination of iron, nickel, copper, manganese and magnesium in calcium metal prepared by electrolytic distillation method. Lower limit of determination: iron, 20μg/g; nickel, 20μg/g; copper, 10μg/g; magnesium, 20μg/g; manganese, 10μg/g. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 10267, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this part. However parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies. GB/T 4864 Calcium metal and its products 3 Theory The specimen of calcium metal is dissolved with nitric acid and diluted appropriately according to the content of the element to be determined. Under the selected conditions, the background correction and matrix matching method are adopted, and the atomic absorption spectrophotometer is used to directly determine the element to be determined. Two times the upper limit of the concentration of coexisting elements in the product shall not affect the determination.
