1 Scope This standard specifies the general requirements for vibration tests (sinusoidal) on measuring relays and protection equipment, as well as all-or-nothing relays (hereafter referred as “product”). This standard is applicable to the type tests of new product and periodic tests of product. 2 Definitions For definitions of general terms not defined in this standard, reference should be made to: GB/T 2298-1991 Mechanical vibration and shock — Terminology (neq ISO 2041:1990) GB/T 2423.10-1995 Environmental testing for electric and electronic products — Part 2: Test methods — Test Fc and guidance: Vibration (Sinusoidal) (idt IEC 68-2-6:1982) GB/T 2900.1-1992 Electrotechnical terminology — Fundamental terms (neq IEC 50) GB/T 2900.17-1994 Electrotechnical terminologies — Electrical relays (eqv IEC 50(446)) GB/T 14047-1993 Measuring relays and protection equipment (idt IEC 255-6:1988) For the purpose of this standard, the following definitions shall apply. 2.1 Vibration test (sinusoidal) A test during which a specimen is submitted to sweeps of sinusoidal vibration in the three different axes of the specimen in turn, in terms of constant displacement and/or constant acceleration, within a standard frequency range. 2.2 Vibration response test A vibration test carried out on a measuring relay or protection equipment, energized under specified conditions, to determine its response to normal service conditions. 2.3 Vibration endurance test A vibration test carried out on a non-energized measuring relay or protection equipment, with higher vibration levels than in normal service conditions, as an accelerated life test to simulate long-term vibration. This test also simulates some transportation conditions. 2.4 Fixing point
