本标准规定了深度千分尺（不包括电子数显深度千分尺）的术语和定义﹑型式与基本参数﹑要求、检验条件、检验方法、标志与包装。
本标准适用于分度值为0.01 mm、0.005 mm、0.001 mm，测微头量程为25 mm、50 mm，测量范围上限至300 mm的标尺读数和数字读数深度千分尺（不包括电子数显深度千分尺）。
