1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods and test device of automatic steam traps.
This standard is applicable to the delivery inspection and type test of mechanical, thermostatic and thermodynamic automatic steam traps (hereinafter referred to as steam traps).
2 Test Device
2.1 The test device used for operation test, minimum operating pressure test, maximum operating back pressure test and maximum operating pressure test is shown in Figure 1.
2.2 The test device used for steam loss test, condensate discharge capacity test, discharge temperature test and maximum discharge temperature test is shown in Figure 2.
2.3 General requirements for test device
a) The volume of high-pressure tank is not less than 2 m3;
b) The volume of back pressure tank is not less than 1 m3;
c) The volume of measuring pail is not less than 0.2 m3;
d) The precision of measuring instruments used for temperature, pressure and weight is not less than Grade 0.5; the precision of timer is not less than ±0.2% and the resolution capability is not greater than 0.1 s;
e) All the thermal state pipelines and equipment in the device shall be insulated.

1 Scope
