1 Application scope
This standard is formulated so as to:
- make it independent of type of construction which is ready for welding;
- determine quality requirements for shop welding and field welding;
- provide guide for expressing a manufacturer's ability for manufacturing welded construction that can satisfy specified requirements;
- be used as foundation of evaluating welding ability of manufacturer.
When one or more of the following conditions is/are met, and if it is required to display a manufacturer's ability for manufacturing welded construction and satisfying specified quality requirements, this standard can be used for:
- Contract of the parties concerned;
- Applied standard;
- General requirement.
These requirements of this standard can be entirely adopted by manufacturer. It can be selectively deleted when it is not applicable to concerned structure. These requirements provide welding control with applicable frame under the following conditions:
Condition 1
Provide special requirements to fusion welding of contract (contract requires manufacturer having quality system different from GB/T 19001 or GB/T 19002, furthermore, documentation welding control doesn't play primary role to integrality of ultimate structure).
Condition 2
Provide fusion welding with special requirements as a guide for manufacturer to establish a quality system.
Condition 3
Provide special requirements for applied standards (these standards contain requirements of fusion welding) or reference in contract of the parties concerned.
