1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage for Guangdong decoration porcelain. It describes the test methods.
This document applies to the production, inspection, and sale of Guangdong decoration porcelain products. Other Guangdong decorated porcelain may be used as reference.
This document does not apply to handcrafted non-heritage products.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions established in GB/T 3303 and GB/T 5000, as well as the following, apply to this document.
3.1
Guangdong Decoration (Cantonese Painting)
The traditional overglaze painted decoration technique of Guangdong ceramics.
Note: Includes Guangcai from the Guangzhou region and Caocai from the Chaoshan region. Encompasses techniques such as outlining, coloring, shading, printing, applying transfers, filling, piling, spraying, and etching. Characterized by preference for golden backgrounds, alternating raised gold and outlined gold, and frequent use of gold and brightly colored pigments. The patterns feature three-dimensional lines and brilliant colors, creating a splendid and magnificent sense of "piling gold and weaving jade."
4 Product Classification
4.1 Products are classified into ornamental art porcelain and domestic porcelain based on use.
4.2 Products are classified by specification into small, medium, large, and special types. The specification ranges are listed in Table 1.
4.3 Products are classified by appearance quality into superior grade, first grade, and qualified grade.
5Technical Requirements
5.1 Water Absorption
Shall not exceed 1.0%.
5.2 Thermal Shock Resistance
Small & medium-sized daily-use ceramics: No cracking after one thermal cycle between 180°C and 20°C.
Large & extra-large products: No cracking after one thermal cycle between 160°C and 20°C.
5.3 Dimensional Tolerance
Small products: Within ±2.0%.
Medium & large products: Within ±1.5%.
Extra-large products: Within ±1.0%.
5.4 Appearance Quality
5.4.1 Products shall not exhibit defects such as ** chips, cracks, leakage, glaze explosion, or severe color crazing.
Note: Color crazing refers to severe cracking or flaking of the color glaze.
5.4.2 Set products: Glaze and decorative colors shall be generally consistent (unless specially designed).
Base rim: Smooth; shall sit stably on a flat surface.
Lidded products:
Lid shall fit closely with the opening.
When tilted to 70°, the lid shall not fall off.
When moved in one direction, the gap between lid and opening shall not exceed 3 mm.
Spout: shall not be more than 3 mm lower than the opening.
5.4.3 Gold lines: Width shall be consistent; blue gold or flying gold defects are not allowed.
Note: Flying gold refers to missing gold after firing.
5.4.4 First-class & premium products:
Human or animal faces in decorations shall not have defects such as ** spots, pores, slag inclusions, lumps, glaze holes, cracks, missing glaze.
5.4.5 Undecorated parts shall comply with GB/T 3532.
5.4.6 Defect limits per grade shall meet Table 2.
No more than 2 defects per 10 mm².
