本标准规定了硅酸盐岩石中主、次成分的测定方法。本标准适用于包括超基性岩在内的硅酸盐岩石中二氧化硅、三氧化二铝、全铁（以Fe2O3表示）、氧化镁、氧化钙、氧化钠、氧化钾、二氧化钛、氧化锰、五氧化二磷、氧化钡、三氧化二铬、镍、铜、锶和锆的测定，也适用于粘土、土壤、水系沉积物等地质样品中上述成分的测定。测定范围见表1。本标准遵守GB/T 14505的规定。
