1 Scope This part specifies the principle, reagents and materials, apparatus, sampling and sample preparation, analytical procedures, result calculation and the like for the determination of manganese content by potentiometric method and ammonium iron (II) sulphate titrimetric method. This part is applicable to the determination of manganese content in manganese ores and concentrates. Method II is not applicable to the determination of manganese content in the manganese ores and concentrates with vanadium content (mass fraction) larger than 0.05%. Determination scope (mass fraction): Method I, i.e. potentiometric method, is larger than or equal to 15.00%; Method II, i.e. ammonium iron (II) sulphate titrimetric method, is 8.00%~60.00%. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part, constitute provisions of this part.
