本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１５６０９—１９９５《彩色电视色度测量方法》.本标准规定了彩色显示器色度的测试条件、测量方法分类、光谱光度测色法、三刺激值直读法、显示器色度的测量、测量结果的表示。本标准适用于彩色显示器色度的测量。本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１５６０９—１９９５相比主要变化如下：
———对ＧＢ／Ｔ１５６０９—１９９５标准的名称进行了更改；
———增加对光谱辐射计和光电色度计技术要求的规定；
———增加显示器色度与观测角关系的测量；
———增加在显示器屏幕中心正交的光轴上，测量显示器的基准白和白平衡的规定；
———增加对色域覆盖率的测量。
