本标准代替GB/T 15686-1995《高梁中单宁含量的测定》。
本标准规定了一种通用的高梁单宁含量测定方法，这种测定方法并不是针对某一种类型的多酚类物质的测定。
本标准与GB/T 15686-1995相比主要变化如下：
——单宁酸标准品采用ISO 9648：1988推荐的默克公司的773单宁酸；
——单宁提取液与试样分离，采用3000g(3000m/s2×9.81m/s2)离心加速度的离心机分离。
