本部分为GB/T 15972的第47部分。本部分代替GB/T 15972.4-1998《光纤总规范 第4部分：传输特性和光学特性试验方法》第13章。本标准规定了测量光纤宏弯敏感性的统一要求。适用于测量B类单模光纤在1550nm或1625nm波长及A1类多模光纤在850nm和1300nm波长的宏弯损耗。本部分与GB/T 15972.4-1998第13章相比主要变化如下：
——增加了了对A1类多模光纤宏弯敏感性的测量要求；
——对于单模光纤，用测量1550nm或1625nm波长替代原来的仅“1550nm波长”（1998年版的第13章，本版的第1章）；
——增加了首选测量波长，对B1.1类、B1.3类和B4类单模光纤为1625nm，对B1.2类、B2类单模光纤为1550nm(见第5章)；
——对光纤弯曲直径要求，以“32nm”替代原来的“60mm”,以“60mm”替代原来的“75mm”(1998年版的13.1.1，本版的第3章)；
——收集剩余光纤的卷绕直径，由建议不小于300mm改为不小于280mm（1998年版的13.1.4,本版的第5章）。
