GB/T 16508-2022 (GB/T 16508.1~16508.8-2022) Shell boilers (Collection) English, Anglais, Englisch, Inglés, えいご Introduction GB/T 16508 Shell boilers is one of the general boiler construction standards that shall be developed, revised and under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Boilers and Pressure Vessels of Standardization Administration of China (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee"). It was developed according to the basic safety requirements of the boiler safety regulations promulgated by the nation, and all the design criteria, material requirements, technical requirements for fabrication and inspection, acceptance criteria, installation requirements and use requirements meet the relevant requirements of TSG 11 Regulation on Safety Technology for Boiler. GB/T 16508 is a coordinative standard, which meets the basic requirements of TSG 11 Regulation on Safety Technology for Boiler and the requirements of TSG 91 Regulation on Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology for Boiler. GB/T 16508, which consists of the following eight parts, is designed to standardize the design, fabrication, inspection, acceptance, installation and operation of boilers. ——Part 1: General requirements, designed to determine the scope of shell boilers, boiler parameters, construction specifications and general technical requirements for energy conservation and environmental protection related to shell boiler construction. ——Part 2: Materials, designed to determine the material selection and use requirements for pressure elements, load-bearing non-pressure elements and welding materials of shell boilers. ——Part 3: Design and strength calculation, designed to determine the basic requirements for structure design of shell boilers and the design, calculated wall temperature, calculated pressure, design permissible stress value and strength calculation method of pressure elements. ——Part 4: Fabrication, inspection and acceptance, designed to determine the requirements for marking, material cutting and correction, cold and hot forming, main parts fabrication and assembly, expansion joint, welding, heat treatment, inspection and test, coating and packaging, nameplate and end-of-manufacturing data in the fabrication process of shell boilers. ——Part 5: Safety appurtenances and instruments, designed to determine the settings and selection requirements for safety appurtenances and instruments of shell boilers. ——Part 6: Combustion systems, designed to determine the technical requirements for combustion system of shell boilers. ——Part 7: Installation, designed to determine the requirements for installation, commissioning and acceptance of shell boilers. ——Part 8: Operation, designed to determine the requirements for operation and management of shell boilers. Shell boilers — Part 1: General requirements 1 Scope 1.1 This document specifies the general technical requirements for the range, rated parameters, design and calculation, fabrication and inspection, installation and operation, performance test, energy conservation and environmental protection of shell boilers. 1.2 This document is applicable to the fixed shell boilers within the following range: a) Steam boilers with a rated steam pressure of larger than or equal to 0.1 MPa; b) Hot water boilers with a rated outlet pressure of larger than or equal to 0.1 MPa and rated thermal power of larger than or equal to 0.1 MW. 1.3 Once-through boilers and heat recovery boilers containing shell boiler elements shall be subjected to this document. 1.4 This document is not applicable to the following equipment: a) Movable shell boilers; b) Cooling devices for the cooling requirements of equipment and process flow. 1.5 This document may be used as a reference to fixed shell boilers with rated pressure of less than 0.1 MPa. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document.
