本部分是系列标准《建筑物电气装置》的一部分。本部分等同采用IEC 60364-6-61：2001第2版《建筑物电气装置第6-6l部分：检验――初检》。IEC 60364-6-61：2001是在IEC 60364-6-61：1986第1版及1993年、1997年两次修改的基础上重新组合而成。为了反映其变化，用括号将组合前的610章中的条号保留了下来，例如(610．3)、(610．4)。本部分在等同采用第2版时保留了这一编号形式。在采用IEC 60364-6-61：2001时，删去了资料性附录G《IEC 60364第1至6部分的调整》；增补了在正文中提及的参考文献。
