本标准代替GB/T 17110-1997《商店购物环境与营销设施的要求》。
本标准规定了商店店面和店内营业场所购物环境的基本要求，营销设施配置、售货单元与营销设施布置、附属设施、消防安全设施、营销安全设施方面的基本要求。
本标准适用于各类大中型零售商店。
本标准与GB/T 17110-1997相比，主要做了以下修改：
——对原有标准条款进行了分类合并，进一步细化和调整；
——将原标准附录部分提炼凝缩归入5.2；
——新增了“5.5 营销安全设施要求”；
——新标准对商店环境和营销设施提出了更高的要求，提高了标准的可操作性。
