GB/T 17622-2008 Live working-gloves of insulating material
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of live working-gloves of insulating material.
This standard is applicable to the insulating gloves used in live working on electrical equipment with voltage classes of AC 35 kV and below.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 14286 and the following apply.

composite gloves
insulating gloves with integrated mechanical protection and made of several different colors or different types and adhesive or superimposed with synthetic rubber
3.2
long composite gloves
composite gloves used to extend the protection of the worker over the arms up to the armpits
3.3
mitt
glove with multiple fingers enclosed in one covering
3.4
cuff
open part of a glove above the gauntlet
3.5
cuff roll
roll or reinforced edge of a glove at the cuff
3.6
fork
part of glove at the junction of two fingers
3.7
wrist
the narrowest part of the glove above the cuff
4 Classification
4.1 Insulating gloves for live working covered under this standard are classified into conventional gloves and composite gloves according to their use methods. Conventional gloves themselves do not have mechanical protection properties, generally use together with mechanical protective gloves (such as leather gloves, etc.). Composite gloves are insulating gloves with mechanical protection properties and can be used without mechanical protective gloves. The two types of insulating gloves in this standard are collectively referred to as "gloves".
