本标准规定了艇体长度为不大于24m小艇上的窗、舷窗、舱口盖、风暴盖和门在计及小艇类型、设计类型和部件的部位后的技术要求。本标准中所考虑的部件只是对小艇的水密性有决定性作用，即在其板破损后会导致艇进水的部件。本标准主要适用于游艇、也可适用于艇体长度不大于24m的非游艇小艇(不包括救生艇)。但本标准不适用于在恶劣条件下使用的商用艇或工作艇。
