本标准规定了香草常用术语。本标准适用于下列香草植物的生产、科研、教学和贸易：a) Vanilla fragrans Ames syn. Vanilla planifolia Andrews；b) Vanilla tahitensis J.W. Moore；c) 由Vanilla fragrans Ames的杂交种子得到的产品。本标准不适用于香草植物Vanilla pompona Schiede的生产、科研、教学和贸易。
