本标准规定了电动冲击扳手的基本参数、型式、技术要求、试验方法和检验规则等。
本标准适用于一般环境条件下，采用冲击离合器机构，利用冲击力矩完成装拆螺纹件用的电动冲击扳手。
本标准不适用于定扭矩（电流控制型）和定扭矩定转角（电流、角度控制型）电扳手、多头组合式电扳手和装拆特殊型式螺纹零件的其他专用电扳手（如棘轮式电扳手、剪切式电扳手等）。
