本标准规定了曲线锯的基本参数和型式、技术要求、试验方法和检验规则等要求。
本标准适用于在一般环境条件下，对木材、金属、塑料、橡胶等板材进行直线或曲线锯割的手持式交直流两用或单相串励曲线锯。
本标准不适用于单相异步鼠笼型电动机驱动的曲线锯和电动刀锯。
