本标准是在原轻工行业标准QB/T 2092-1995《计时仪器用齿轮　端面齿轮》的基础上制定。本标准规定了计时仪器端面齿轮的术语、齿形、代号及其参数。
本标准适用于手表、怀表的拨针机构中端面齿轮与圆柱齿轮啮合时，端面齿轮为主动，模数为0.07mm~1mm的垂直相交轴的齿轮传动，仪器仪表中垂直相交轴的齿轮传动也可参照使用。
自本标准实施之日起，原轻工行业标准QB/T 2092-1995《计时仪器用齿轮　端面齿轮》自行废止。
