ＧＢ／Ｔ２４５３４的本部分规定了测定谷物与豆类中隐蔽性昆虫的属性及数量的基准方法。其目的是计算在谷物与豆类内正常取食、发育的每一种昆虫、每一种虫态的所有个体的数量。由于这种方法要待所有昆虫完成其发育周期并羽化为成虫后才可以检出，所以较慢。这种方法能可靠地用于通常在粮粒内取食的种类，而不适用于那些偶然在粮粒孔缝中取食的种类。对任何虫期进
行处理时，可能使这些昆虫从粮粒中被震落或使之离开粮粒甚至死亡，结果导致低估这些种类的数量。
