本标准规定了家用和类似用途水族箱的术语和定义、型号命名、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于箱体以玻璃材料制作的,额定水容量不大于2000L,额定电压不大于250V,室内使用的家用和类似用途水族箱(以下简称水族箱)。
本标准不适用于户外用水族箱或商用(如用作海底世界)的水族箱。对于壁挂式水族箱,或箱体以钢化玻璃、有机材料或其他材料制作的水族箱,可参照本标准。
