本部分为GB/T 2900的第59部分。
本部分修改采用IEC60050-605:1983《国际电工词汇第605部分:发电、输电及配电变电站》,并参考国际电工委员会2003年文件(1/1906/CD),修改了部分术语的定义。
本部分代替GB/T 2900.59-2002《电工术语　发电、输电及配电　变电站》。
本标准规定了发电、输电及配电领域中有关变电站的术语。
本标准适用于电力系统的规划、管理、设计、发电、输电及配电等领域。
本部分与GB/T 2900.59-2002相比主要变化如下：
———605-01-19和605-01-20条的中文术语增加“母线”说明；
———604-02-32中文术语“消音外壳”改为“消声外壳”；
