1 Scope
This document specifies the general process for the safety design of consumer products, and describes information acquisition, analysis of intended use, risk assessment and design methods.
This document is applicable to providing guidance for relevant parties to carry out safety design activities for consumer products.

consumer product
product designed and produced primarily for, but not limited to, personal use
Note: It includes the components, parts, accessories, instructions for use, and packaging of product. See GB/T 36431 for the classification of consumer products.

use of product and/or system as per the information provided by product and/or system or, in case such information is not available, as per the mode generally understood
