Methods of measuring and evaluating noise of pumps 1 Scope This standard specifies the environmental requirements for measuring sound pressure level on the measurement surface of envelope pump, measuring instruments, installation and working conditions of pump, measurement of surface sound pressure level, calculation of sound power level and evaluation method of noise level of pump. This standard is applicable to pumps or pump units of various types except submerged pumps and reciprocating pumps, which are driven by motors and whose working medium is liquid. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
