4 Type and Basic Parameters
4.1 Type designation
The type designation method for rotary kilns is as follows:
Example 1: A rotary kiln with an inner diameter of 4.8 m and a kiln body length of 72 m, conforming to this document.

4.2 Basic parameters
The basic parameters of a rotary kiln for the cement industry (hereinafter referred to as “rotary kiln”) are given in Table 1.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 Rotary kiln products shall comply with the provisions of this document and shall be designed and manufactured according to approved design drawings and technical documentation.
5.1.2 The limit deviations for undimensioned tolerances on machined surfaces shall comply with grade m of GB/T 1804-2000. The limit deviations for undimensioned tolerances on nonmachined surfaces shall comply with grade v of GB/T 1804-2000. The undimensioned geometrical tolerances for machined surfaces shall not be less than grade K of GB/T 1184-1996.
5.1.3 Welded components shall comply with the provisions of JC/T 532.
5.1.4 Carbon steel electrodes, lowalloy steel electrodes and welding wires shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 5117, GB/T 5118 and GB/T 8110, respectively.
5.1.5 The lining design for the rotary kiln shell shall comply with the provisions of JC/T 2196-2013. For a rotary kiln used for coprocessing, anticorrosion or isolation measures should be taken between the shell and the lining.
5.1.6 The forced circulation lubrication system for the main reducer shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 38275-2019.
5.1.7 The hydraulic system for the thrust roller shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 3766.
5.2 Complete machine requirements
5.2.1 The basic parameters of a rotary kiln shall comply with the provisions of Table 1 or the design drawings and relevant technical documentation.
5.2.2 The rotational speed of the main drive of the rotary kiln shall be adjustable, with an adjustment ratio not less than 1:10.
5.2.3 Heat insulation devices shall be provided between the support roller bearing assemblies, thrust roller device, transmission device and the shell.
5.2.4 Lubrication devices shall be provided on the contact surfaces between the tyre and the support rollers and the thrust roller. Lubrication devices should also be provided between the tyre and the backing plates.

4.1 Type designation
The type designation method for rotary kilns is as follows:

4.2 Basic parameters
The basic parameters of a rotary kiln for the cement industry (hereinafter referred to as “rotary kiln”) are given in Table 1.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 Rotary kiln products shall comply with the provisions of this document and shall be designed and manufactured according to approved design drawings and technical documentation.
5.1.2 The limit deviations for undimensioned tolerances on machined surfaces shall comply with grade m of GB/T 1804-2000. The limit deviations for undimensioned tolerances on nonmachined surfaces shall comply with grade v of GB/T 1804-2000. The undimensioned geometrical tolerances for machined surfaces shall not be less than grade K of GB/T 1184-1996.
5.1.3 Welded components shall comply with the provisions of JC/T 532.
