本标准规定了安装在大型游艇上的推进用和发电用额定功率不小于100 kW的柴油机安全要求。本标准的大型游艇是指按照GB/T 19916-2005艇体长度不小于24 m，总吨位（GT）小于500，运动或休闲娱乐用，不携带货物，携带乘客不超过12名的商业船艇。
　　
　　本标准的柴油机是指能够达到游艇功率输出极限的发动机。
　　
　　本标准不适用于应急发电用柴油机。
