本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ３４７５—１９８３和ＧＢ／Ｔ３４７６—１９８３相比主要有下列技术变化：
———增加了时间控制式调速系统的要求；
———对部分术语的定义进行了修改和统一；
———明确规定了转速波动率的测定时间；
———提高了调速系统部分调速性能指标，将柴油发电机组Ⅰ级精度等级的转速波动率从０．４％提高到０．２５％；
———修改了调速系统改变转速的方法。
