1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for tensile strength, elongation at the reference force and elongation at break of V-belts and V-ribbed belts.
It is applicable to the determination of tensile strength and elongation of various driving V-belts and V-ribbed belts under specified conditions.

force required to break the test piece when tensile test is carried out on a full section test piece

4.1 Tensile testing machine
The tensile testing machine shall meet the requirements of GB/T 17200, and shall also meet the following requirements:
a) minimum tensile force: 20kN;
