1.Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, ordering information.requirements, test method, inspection rule, packing, marking and quality certificate, safe use andmaintenance for hanger of suspension bridge.
This standard is applicable to steel wire ropes for hanger of suspension bridge with diameter of40 mm-120 mm and rope grade not exceeding grade 2160.

4-Classification and designation
4.1 Classification
4.1.1According to the principle of GB/T 8706, the steel wire ropes are divided into single-layelround stranded rope, spiral strand ropes and full-locked coil ropes. See Table 1 to Table 3 for specification.

6 Technical requirements
Steel wire for rope making6.1
6.1.1 Round steel wire (including center steel wire, filler steel wires and rope core steel wires) forrope making shall meet the requirements of wire rope for important purposes in YB/T 5343.
6.1.2 The coating weight of shaped steel wire for rope making shall meet the requirements of Table4, while other parameters shall meet the requirements of steel wire for static use in YB/T 4643.
6.1.3 The surface and nominal tensile strength of round steel wires for rope making shall meet thereguirements of Table 5.
6.1.4 The tensile strength grade of the wire rope which is the tensile strength grade of the ropewire before stranding, shall meet the requirements of Table 6. All wires with same nominal diameterin the same layer shall have same tensile strength, while the tensile strength of the other steel wiresshall meet the range specified in Table 6, but the minimum breaking force of steel wire rope or thetotal minimum breaking force of steel wires shall meet the reguirements of Table A.1-Table A.10.
