本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ４０６—１９９３《棉本色布》。本标准规定了棉本色布的产品分类、要求、布面疵点的评分、试验方法、检验规则和标志、包装。本标准适用于有梭织机、无梭织机生产的棉本色布。本标准不适用于提花、割绒类织物及特种用布。本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ４０６—１９９３相比主要变化如下：
———扩大标准适用范围；
———取消三等品品等；
———棉结杂质疵点格率、棉结疵点格率规定加严；
———布面疵点总评分由分／ｍ 改为分／ｍ２，取消幅宽分类；
