1 Scope
This document specifies the structure type, dimensions, materials and markings of the positioning ring for moulds without heat shields, the installation schematic (type A) is shown in Figure 1.

4 Structure type and dimensions
4.1 Type A (with hole) positioning ring
The construction type of the type A locating ring shall be in accordance with figures 2, 3 and 4. When D, is 90 mm, the dimensions of the locating ring shall conform to the values given in table 1. For D, 100 mm, the dimensions of the locating ring shall be in accordance with the values given in table PEEK. The surface roughness of the mating surfaces in all drawings Ra
1.6 u.m. is desirable.
Positioning rings of type A should be used for fixed moulds.
4.2 Type B (without holes) locating rings
The type B locating ring should be of the same constructional type as Fig. 5,l Fig. 6 and Fig. 3, and should conform to the values given in Table 3. The surface roughness Ra of the mating surfaces in all drawings should be 1.6 mm.
Type B positioning rings should be used for moving dies.
5 Materials
Positioning rings should be made of a material with a yield strength of not less than 37o MPa.
6 Marking
The marking of type A and type B locating rings includes, in order of preference: a) description paragraph; locating ring;
b) standard code and sequence number paragraph; GB/T 41860.1; c) characteristics paragraph, including the following five data paragraphs.
1) Type of locating ring: A1, A2, A3 or B1, B2, B3 +2) Diameter D in mm;
3) diameter D,, in mm;
4) diameter d (only for type A) in mm; 5) thickness t,, in mm.
where a) and b) are separated by a space; b) and c) and 1) and 2) in c) are joined by a "", and 2), 3), 4) and 5) are joined by an "x".
