3 Terms and definitions
3.1 Basic terms
3.1.1
distributed artificial intelligence
a way of implementing an artificial intelligence system in which data and instructions are passed and processed between a set of nodes connected with each other in a specific topology to complete artificial intelligence tasks
Note: The topology for node connection generally includes decentralized structure, star structure, ring structure, tree structure, etc.
3.1.2
artificial intelligence; AI
research and development of related mechanisms and applications of artificial intelligence system (3.1.8)
3.1.3
artificial intelligence server
server in an information system that can provide high-performance computing and processing capabilities for artificial intelligence applications
Note 1: A server based on a general server and equipped with an artificial intelligence accelerator card, which provides special computing acceleration capability for artificial intelligence applications, is called an artificial intelligence compatible server.
Note 2: The server specially designed for accelerated computing of artificial intelligence and providing special computing power of artificial intelligence is called artificial intelligence all-in-one server.
3.1.4
artificial intelligence cluster
set of artificial intelligence computing functional units that follow unified control
Note 1: The artificial intelligence computing functional unit may include artificial intelligence accelerating processor, artificial intelligence server, artificial intelligence acceleration module, etc.
Note 2: When it is composed of artificial intelligence servers, an artificial intelligence cluster can be called an artificial intelligence server cluster, and the artificial intelligence servers in it can be called as nodes.
3.1.5
artificial intelligence accelerating processor
artificial intelligence accelerating chip
integrated circuit elements with an operational microarchitecture adapted to artificial intelligence algorithms and capable of completing operational processing of artificial intelligence applications
