本标准适用于以有机硅树脂作粘结剂，无碱玻璃布为底材，经加热压制而成的有机硅层压玻璃布板。SIGC1型有机硅层压玻璃布板干态下介电性能优良，湿态下性能仍佳，适于电子工业和其他电气用途。SIGC2型有机硅层压玻璃布板耐热性优良，适于高温下机械和电气用途。本标准等效采用国际标准化组织制订的ISO 1642-1979（E）《热固性树脂工业层压板规范》中SIGC1型和SIGC2型层压板的技术要求。
