It is the responsibility of the user to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to ensure compliance with any national regulatory conditions. 1 Scope This document specifies the method for determination of total content of boron using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). This document is applicable to various textile materials and their products. 2 Normative references The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 6682 Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods 3 Terms and definitions No terms and definitions are listed in this document. 4 Principle After the specimen is subject to microwave digestion by concentrated nitric acid-hydrogen peroxide, the digestion solution is diluted to the scale. The emission intensity of boron and internal standard yttrium is determined by ICP-OES, and their content is determined by internal standard method. The total content of boron in the specimen is calculated according to the concentration of boron determined by reference to the standard working curve.
