GB/T 44778-2024 Technical requirements and test methods for cyber security of vehicle diagnostic interfaces English Anglais Englisch
1 Scope
This document specifies the cybersecurity architecture and technical requirements for vehicle diagnostic interfaces, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document is applicable to vehicles of Category M and Category N.
2 Normative references
No normative references are listed in this document.
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
diagnostic access unit
device, platform, or electronic control unit capable of initiating diagnostic services to a vehicle
3.2
diagnostic access authentication unit
electronic control unit in the vehicle that processes or responds to diagnostic requests from the diagnostic access unit and determines whether the diagnostic access unit meets identity authentication or access control requirements
3.3
diagnostic connector
connector used for communication between the vehicle and external diagnostic equipment, enabling short-term connection and hot-plugging Note: It includes the connector socket on the vehicle side and the connector plug on the external equipment side. [Source: GB/T34589-2017, 3.1, modified]
3.4
diagnosed controller
electronic control unit that responds to diagnostic request messages sent by the diagnostic access unit and sends diagnostic response messages to the diagnostic access unit
3.5
diagnostic gateway
electronic control unit that connects between the diagnostic network and diagnostic subnet to forward and transmit diagnostic request and response messages
Note: The diagnostic gateway facilitates diagnostic message interaction between vehicle subnets through format conversion between different network protocols of master and slave nodes.
3.6
remote diagnosis controller
electronic control unit capable of connecting and communicating with a diagnostic server
3.7
diagnostic interface
interface that connects the diagnostic access unit and the diagnostic access authentication unit and provides diagnostic services between them
4 Diagnostic interface architecture
4.1 General architecture
The vehicle diagnostic interface architecture is embodied by different forms of diagnostic networks, where the diagnostic access unit and diagnostic access authentication unit are important components of the vehicle diagnostic interface architecture.
The general architecture of the vehicle diagnostic interface is shown in Figure 1.

Examples of common vehicle diagnostic interface architectures are provided in Annex A. Based on the classification of different diagnostic network architectures, typical diagnostic network architectures include the following:it and sends diagnostic response messages to the diagnostic access unit
