GB/T 45140-2025 Technical guideline for monitoring and effectiveness evaluation of mangrove ecological restoration 1 Scope This document provides a guideline for workflow for monitoring and effectiveness evaluation of mangrove ecological restoration, data collection and analysis, determination of ecological monitoring and effectiveness evaluation indicators, ecological monitoring plan, and restoration effectiveness evaluation. This document is applicable to the monitoring and effectiveness evaluation of mangrove ecological restoration within the sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. GB/T 12763.6 Specifications for oceanographic survey - Part 6: Marine biological survey GB17378.2 Specification for marine monitoring - Part 2: Data processing and quality control of analysis GB17378.3 Specification for marine monitoring - Part 3: Sample collection, storage and transportation GB/T 41339.1 Technical guideline for marine ecological restoration - Part 1: General HJ710.4 Technical guidelines for biodiversity monitoring - Birds 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 mangroves a plant community mainly composed of mangrove plants, distributed in the intertidal zone of tropical and subtropical regions 3.2 mangrove ecological restoration process of promoting the formation of a stable ecosystem with similar ecological functions to the original mangroves through measures such as eliminating stress factors, improving habitat conditions, and artificially introducing mangrove plant propagules/seedlings in areas where mangroves have degraded or been lost 3.3 survival rate percentage of the number of surviving seedlings in the restoration area to the number of seedlings initially planted 3.4 preservation rate percentage of the number of seedlings that still grew normally during the monitoring period after the successful planting of seedlings in the restoration area to the number of seedlings initially planted 4 Workflow 4.1 The monitoring and effectiveness evaluation workflow of mangrove ecological restoration includes four steps, namely, data collection and analysis, formulation of ecological monitoring and effectiveness evaluation plan, implementation of ecological monitoring, and restoration effectiveness evaluation, as shown in Figure 1.
