本标准是对GB/T 460-2002《纸施胶度的测定（墨水划线法）》和GB/T 5405-2002《纸施胶度的测定（液体渗透法）》的整合修订。
本标准代替GB/T 460-2002和GB/T 5405-2002。
本标准规定了两种测定纸施胶度的主要方法----墨水划线法和液体渗透法。
本标准中的墨水划线法适用于文化用纸和书写用纸，液体渗透法适用于定量较低的白纸。
本标准与GB/T 460-2002和GB/T 5405-2002相比，主要变化如下：
——修改了标准的范围；
——“仪器和试剂”改为“器具、试剂和易耗品”；
——增加液体渗透法的计算方法。
